Guardian Roof Polymers Urethane Seam Sealer SC is a fiber-reinforced mastic product for use on details and seams. It eliminates the need for three-course applications with embedded fabric, thus significantly reducing installation time. This single-component mastic also has a higher viscosity and sag resistance to conform around details and in vertical applications.

Thinning
- Product should not be thinned.
Mixing
- If separation of the product is noticed, mix with a mechanical mixer before application to ensure uniform color and consistency.
SURFACE PREPARATION
- Surface must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, and loose materials prior to application. Note: Do not wash asphaltic roof substrates prior to application.
- Remove rust and scale from metal surfaces with a wire brush.
- Slick, prefinished metal surfaces should be abraded with a wire brush or sandpaper, then wiped with a clean, dry rag.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix material prior to application.
- Apply to the patch area at a minimum wet thicknessof 1/16 in (1.5 mm). Spread the material at least 3 in(76.2 mm) in all directions beyond the affected area.
- For cold-weather applications (ambient temperaturebelow 40 °F (4 °C)): Store above 65 °F(18 °C) until the time of application
- Do not apply to substrates that are:
• Below 32°F (0°C)
• Above 120 °F (49 °C) - For filling deep pockets greater than 0.5 in (12.7 mm),a small amount of water (1 oz per gallon) may be added
DRY TIME
- At 1/16 in (1.5 mm) thick, in 75 °F (24 °C)temperatures and 55% relative humidity, product will betack-free in two (2) to four (4) hours and fully cured in forty(40) hours. Low humidity and low temperature will result inlonger cure times.
APPLICATION OF TOPCOAT
- Product may yellow with exposure to UV light and should be top-coated to extend the life of the material. A silicone, aliphatic urethane, or acrylic topcoat is recommended. Allow product to cure for sixteen (16) hours before applying a topcoat.
LIMITATIONS
- Not suitable for use over gravel-surfaced built-up roofs.

PRECAUTIONS: Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. No smoking. Keep container tightly closed. Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting/equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Contaminated work clothing must not be allowed out of the workplace. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. In case of inadequate ventilation, wear respiratory protection.
RESPONSE: In case of fire: Use water fog, foam, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide (CO2) to extinguish. Specific treatment (see Section 8 on this label). If on skin (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If skin irritation or a rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If experiencing respiratory symptoms: Call a poison/doctor. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. Collect spillage.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Keep cool. Store locked up. Dispose of contents and container in accordance with all local, regional, national and international regulations.
